At The Historic Jamaa Birth Village Cultural Heritage Center, we honor and preserve the sacred traditions of African Indigenous midwifery while continuing our mission to provide community-centered maternal health, education, and cultural healing. As Missouri’s first Black-led midwifery clinic, we’ve evolved into a national cultural landmark, anchoring five groundbreaking programs:

- Clinic Midwife in Residence ( > see job description(opens in new tab)) Hybrid- In-Person at Jamaa’s Equal Access Midwifery Clinic in Ferguson, Missouri and remote Virtual check-in care provided remotely.
- Birth Village Midwife in Residence ( > see job description(opens in new tab)) Hybrid, with in-person care provided at Jamaa’s Equal Access Midwifery Clinic in Ferguson, Missouri, virtual care provided remotely, and planned home birth care throughout the St. Louis region
